As a solo acoustic artist and frontman of blues-rock band Smoke Stack Rhino, Ash has taken his high-energy live show around Australia, often having too much fun dancing across the stage with his guitar that he forgets to sing the next verse.
His original songs offer a refreshingly honest take on the familiar themes of love and lust, passion and struggle, change and the wider world.
‘You don’t write the song, the song writes you,’ Ash says. ‘If you imagine holding up a mirror to your life and letting the reflection paint the words, that’s how I write music.’
